Steve,

Sorry, I still don't get it.  Let's say your jib is reefed to about 110%.
The clew is going to be aft of the upper shroud when close hauled, whether
inside or outside of the shroud.  How do you get the clew closer to the
centerline of the boat (inside the shroud) if the lee sheet is still tight
and outside the upper shroud?  Are you referring to a "barber hauler?"  Not
that I know what that is--I'm just guessing.
