  Luis,

  I know your pain with the centerboard trunk as I have mine ripped 
open and getting ready for a few major patches with garolite and 
epoxy.
  Q#1:  did you end up using heavy power tools to rip away the 
existing trunk or did you find it destroyed already?
Q#2: after you received the dimensions of the trunk and its  pivot 
slot, did you build it  (the entire trunk) outside the boat  or 
choose to build it right  inside the boat ?
  love to see some pictures of  how it came out and congratulations on 
launching her so fast!
