[Rhodes22-list] Oriental to Ocracoke - Labor Day

Ed,

The problem is launching (at the NC Wildlife ramps) off Smith Creek near the
downtown area, then finding a place to a) keep the boats overnight and b)
keep the vehicles and trailers for 3-4 days. Lawrence keeps his Tanzer 26
at Whitaker Creek, so we are checking that out as a possibility for
transient slips and parking. http://www.whittakercreek.com/charters.html
One could even charter a boat there. There are also plenty of places to
anchor overnight, but it seems like a marina would offer services (ice,
fuel, baths) thoat would be nice before setting out.

You could easily drive 8 hours and then rig your boat in a day. Are you
considering it?
