Elle,
While electric start is a good thing you might want to 
experiment with pull start on whatever motor you end up 
with. I am also very short and not particularly strong. I 
have learned that technique and experience can make up for 
strength and length of pull. On our Honda a gentle pull 
until you feel resistance and then a short quick pull 
usually do the trick. I'm not very good at the quick part 
but I can usually start it after a couple of tries. I 
would have been happier if our Honda had been available 
with electric start as Fred does start it more easily than 
I do but I do practice several times a summer just to make 
sure I could start it if I had to.
