Rory,

Yes, there is an additional cost/mo to store on the hard, and there's a
roundtrip cost to haul it out and put it back in, but I think the biggest thing
is going to be the scheduling impact. I was told you have to "get on the
list" early and basically let them decide regarding the approximate date/times
you can haul out and put in, they seemed to be launching boats constantly on
weekdays from April through May.

Re wintering on the water: I think Stan and Saroj addressed the ice issue.
Bill, Saroj, & Wally addressed the water and holding tanks, and lines going
to them. I'm still antzy about the water feed line to the toilet, if the boat
is left in the water. The feed line is straight from the water and then
loops up and back down to the marine toilet as I recall - seems to me that
somewhere in that line the water is going to freeze. Of course, it's a flexible
line and freezing may not be a big deal - Saroj's boat has survived winter on
the water, but I don't know. A way around this might be to close the water
feed valve and drain that line. But our valve is very stiff - I've been told
that's the way they are - I'm not sure I can get it closed, so draining the
water feed line may not be an option.

Can you close your water feed valve?

Do you plan to leave your boat in the water over the winter?

Dave
