Michael,
Not sure what a 'span' shackle is...but If I (we) do
this right, I may be able to use the boom as both a
hoist as well as a crane to move heavy items from the
dock to the cockpit.

This sounds like a case for the Commodore....i will
put it on my list....All these suggestions go into the
file. thanks everyone.

When did the wide steps appear? I have only seen the
tubular steps.

Slim,
My gal is a yellow lab...a rescue....she just
found out that she can swim when she fell off the dock
at the marina. What a HOOT! Here's this college prof
leaning over the edge of the dock hollering, 'Here,
Poochie! Here Poochie!" while his sailing companion
stands aloof repeating over & over : "She's a DOG. A
LAB. She can SWIM." (Emphasis his.) And Timi, paddling
around with this totally astonished look on her face.
And the rest of us rolling in hysterics at the antics
of men & dog.

Art,
I think we'll mix these ideas in the pot & see
what works on my particular boat.

The boat that MAY be in my future is now in
Edenton...I have another trip planned as soon as THE
MAN says 'come on down.'

(We may actually have to have a RENDEZVOUS when i take
delivery....! I'll let y'all try out your ideas. ;^))

Elle
