Erly,
Yes, size is the biggest drawback.  But only if you're
locked into the bigger-is-better syndrome like I am.  Consequently, I am
constantly frustrated as I search for a bigger boat with the same day
sailing convenience, comfort and sailing qualities as the R22.
So be
forewarned, get an R22 only if you can tolerate the frustration of
searching for a better bigger boat.
