[Rhodes22-list] Global Warming - the documentary

Rummy,

The review points out what I've already stated in previous posts. Global
Warming is a cottage industry that rewards those in the scientific/academic
community who buy into it and punishes those who don't. Cutting CO2
emissions is not a bad thing and using less fossil fuels is a wonderful
thing for our national security. That being said, we needn't wreck our
economy over what is purely a theory, and perhaps a poorly researched one.
China and India are pressing forward with their growth with only lip service
being paid to global warming. Other third world countries are doing the
same. We may be the energy hogs at the trough per capita but we're also the
most productive. China will soon pass us as the biggest CO2 emitter and if
you take 900,000 or so peasants out of the equation, they're catching up
with us in productivity as well. I think the global warming constituents
are useful idiots and as long as our government doesn't propose knee-jerk
reactions to them, they serve a purpose.

Tread water? I walk on it!
