Sorry Chris, I have to disagree about the "Judeo Christian ethics" part. 
Yes, the Bible says "something about helping the less fortunate". 
Unfortunately, it would seem you misunderstood the point. That's for the 
person READING to help others. They do that by giving THEIR worldly 
goods, not the worldly goods of others.

Jesus never told anyone, rich young man or poor old man "Go, take your 
neighbors belongings, sell them and give to the poor."
