Mike,
I really wouldn't waste your time on a '73, even to see how it has 'held up.'  I think Stan began his production line in '84 or '85.  You can see quite a difference.  A '73 is light years away.  Both you and your wife want to have total confidence in the quality and durability of your new boat, just like your Mooney.
