Herb, Cowie

I am just curious to know how you may restrict yourself to going out
in gusty winds alone?

If the weather report on the VHF is calling for winds in excess of
18knots do you not go out into open waters?

Right now I don't feel comfortable going out into Rockaway Inlet with
winds in excess of 15knots alone.

I bought the West System nylon harness and tether. I've got an issue
with how easy it is to open the snap shackle on the vest end of the
tether. The
jack line end is a large carabiner with a safety built in. I am
used to wearing the harness already but still need practice going
forward when single handing.
