Burt said, "As I replied early last night to your question ... the manner in
which you furled your genny determines the amount of line on the drum, and
the amount of line on the drum determines the next number of rotations of
that drum.
Increasing the length of the line will not solve this problem, efficient
furling practice should solve this problem. I attempt to make sure a small
amount of tension via wind or sheet pressure is present."

This may be true. However, some of us are not so expert or constant in
application of tension on the furling line. So, I again suggest, why fight
the issue, just add a couple feet of line. Remember to Keep it Simple
Stupid...

As to line that Stan uses, Michael Meltzer posted one company that Stan
used. Find that post somewhere in archives. But I also know that another
company that Stan used, ceased to exist.

Always keep in mind that exact lengths can be had by ordering repacement
lines directly from Stan at General Boats. That way you have the current
correct length which may have changed over the years.

How would Michael know what 'Kosher Bacon' is supposed to taste like? How
would a vegetarian know what bacon is supposed to taste like? Give me a
break, inquiring minds want to know.

Addendum: "There is more to sailing than ropes and winches, cleats and
bulging sails. There are faraway places and the ever changing light, and the
silence, and a great place at the bottom of your soul." Wayne M.
