that sounds about right.  I suppose you could calculate the area of a
triangle and figure out exactly how much area of the sail is exposed at
various furled postions in relation to the full 175% genoa and 100% main.  I
read in another discusion someone recomend adding tape postions on the
reefing line to mark key positions.  I am learning how much sail to furl in
order to take advantage of the three sheet positions for the genoa.
