We had a similar refit, with a 150 rather than a 140.  I am more comfortable with the new
sail plan.  We also have a UPS sail fo days with very light winds.

The other factor that plays a part here is the height of the head of the genoa when reefed to a 110- it is a much lower-aspect sail when a 175 is reefed than when a 140 is reefed.  Overall, I much prefer the 140 to the original 175.
