[Rhodes22-list] Locking/Securing the Cabin (broken lock on pop top hatch)

Brian,

You have a secure fix, relatively straight-forward, although I cannot get a snapshot until next week.  

You probably should have a "hold-down" line or strap, meant for keeping the hatch from lifting when the hatch is closed. With that strap tightened the only thing needed is a flat metal strap (tang) from West which will attach to the bottom of the hatch surface at one end and thread thru a flat slot (horizontal) made into the top of the companionway door, then locked with a combo lock on the outside.
