Luis,
Welcome back to the list and the water. Sucks about the 5200 on the CB cap. That's really dumb even by my standards. I have a Tohatsu 8hp but mine is a 2 stroke and I love it. Always starts and has enough power except in reverse. Because of the strong tidal currents in my area (Savannah) I might consider a 9.9 hp next time but then again I don't want all that extra weight. My motor only weighs about 45 lbs. With your relatively mild tides and current down there an 8hp should be just fine.

How is Bradenton to sail? It is on my short list to make a trip down there with my boat.
