The main slides out the bottom of the mast once the mast is lowered. You
will pull it tight at the top and then install the keeper screw. Not
difficult and certainly easily done by a novice Rhodies. If you do run into
problems, be sure to take pictures to ask the list for help.

I am headed into season three with my new R22 and mainsail and have kept
the
main inside the mast with the rigging in place to date. I have noticed
that
my main sail tends to bunch up when it is fully retracted into the mast and
it appears that I need to raise the main a bit. Having only lowered the
mast a couple of times I am not familiar with exactly how the main sail is
set inside the mast. Is there some easy adjustment to raise the main a bit
inside the mast so it doesn't bunch up?
