Me too. I trailered my boat home from Stan's to Gulf Shores with the 9.9 Yamaha 4-stroke on the motor lift. No problems. I tie a line around the motor and secure it to the stern rail. Then I lower the lift just a little to put some weight on the rail so that the total weight is shared by the lift and the rail. So far so good.
