That helps. From my vast experience I have discovered that each and every  
boat sits in the water differently depending on weight on the boat and where 
 it's placed. I don't have all that fancy crap, but if I did, I would mount 
the  transducer in the lazzerette directly behind the cockpit drain hose. 
There are  several schools of thought on how to mount it in there and perhaps 
some  knowledgeable skipper will speak up. My recollection is to epoxy it 
in place or  another method uses mineral oil. I will attempt to attach the 
article to this  email.

I'm not sure what you mean, but it is a 50/200 Mhz  and it will be used
primarily for depth readings, but it would be nice to  see the bottom
structure, too.
