Your butyl link is excellent - better than mine - more concise. 

BTW: San Juan 21 I just finally sold had hull/deck joint fiberglassed over
and still appeared perfect after 40 years - and SJ21's were lightly built. 

But Stan does magic - R22 so much "bigger" than the SJ21 - I don't
understand it.
