I use velcro wrap pins to lock my turnbuckles. The prior owner had done
that as well but the velcro had worn out over time from being in the
elements. I ordered replacements: C.SHERMAN JOHNSON brand model WRAPC2-P.
I put PVC pipe over my turnbuckles to avoid chafe on the sails and I think
it will also help with the longevity of the velcro wrap pins.
